CAROL LITTLETON A.C.E.(Editor) garnered an Academy Award™ nomination for "E.T. The Extraterrestrial." She previously collaborated with Robert Benton on "Places in the Heart."

A native of Oklahoma, Littleton decided to become a film editor after seeing Pontecorvo's "Battle of Algiers" while she was in Paris in the late 1960's on a Fulbright Scholarship from the University of Oklahoma.

In 1970, she moved to California and began her career editing TV commercials. Littleton edited several projects at the American Film Institute including Lee Grant's short film, "The Stranger," based on Strindberg's play and Karen Arthur's feature film, "Legacy." She then went on to edit the telefilm "Battered."

Littleton's feature film credits began in 1978 with "French Postcards." Others feature credits include "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "Swimming to Cambodia" and six films with director Lawrence Kasdan: "Body Heat," "The Big Chill," "Silverado," "The Accidental Tourist," "Grand Canyon" and "Wyatt Earp." In 1991, she edited "China Moon," the directorial debut of her husband, cinematographer John Bailey. Her recent films include "Diabolique" and "Benny and Joon," both with director Jeremiah Chechik.

In 1987, Littleton was elected president of the Editor's Guild, serving two terms. In 1995, she was elected to the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
