PIOTR SOBOCINSKI (Director of Photography) received an Academy Award™ nomination for the film "Red," directed by the late Krzysztof Kieslowski. Recent credits include "Ransom" and "Marvin's Room," both for producer Scott Rudin.

The award-winning filmmaker began shooting documentaries during his second year at the Lodz Cinema School. One of his documentaries, "Rat Catcher," won several prizes at film festivals around the world. He graduated to features after shooting two television films for Kieslowski - parts three and nine of his epic "Decalogue."
